Responding to an older nurse call system failure

Customer: Bethany St Joseph and Shelby Terrace

Customer Situation: On a Friday afternoon, March 20th, 2020, Bethany St. Joseph had an older wireless nurse call system unexpectedly fail.   This left their entire assisted living community and a portion of their memory care without nurse call coverage. They reached out to PalCare at 2pm that same Friday afternoon.

Impact of the Situation:  Bethany management had to bring in extra staff to monitor for alerts as well as cover doors for safety.

PalCare Solution: After being alerted to the situation, PalCare quickly worked with our inventory team and put together a whole new system and all the devices they needed.

We arranged for one of our lead techs, Jason, to leave Sheboygan for Lacrosse, Wisconsin, at 4:30 pm that same day.   By 8:00PM Jason was on site and by 11:00PM he had replaced the entire system and their new PalCare Nurse Call solution was fully functional.

Customer Result of PalCare Service: Bethany’s Assisted Living and Memory Care residents were fully protected. They were able to return to their normal staffing patterns before midnight that day.  Management had the peace of mind that everybody was protected if they needed safety alerts.

After our response, our customer told us “We were just a blessing to them, and she did not have to worry all weekend of whether her residence were covered.”
